Why VA-BOX is
necessary?
VA-BOX stabilizes vehicle voltage just by being
plugged into cigar jack of the vehicle,
therefore enhances combustion efficiency and
improves the vehicle output.
VA-BOX,
the electric current ballast for automobile, why
is it necessary?
In general, engine of a vehicle is driven by
using power supplied from battery. Driving of
this engine rotates alternator to generate
electric power. It is then supplied to electric
devices to require power, such as battery,
distributor, lighting devices, horn, wipers and
AV system, etc. In automobile system with the
above configuration, alternator is generally
designed to produce the output of 13.6V ~ 14.5V
in a passenger vehicle. To maintain app. 12V of
battery charge, the min. of 13.6V ~ 14.5V of
voltage must be maintained. However, the maximum
voltage of a car battery is only app. 12.4V~
12.7V even when there is no load. The voltage
becomes lowered when additional electric loads
are applied, such as for heater or lighting
devices, etc. Continuation of such low-charged
state rapidly reduces the lifespan of battery
and, accordingly, deteriorates engine efficiency
of the automobile.
Automobiles become frequently subject to
lighting load to cause overflow as current
higher than the rated current of the vehicle by
several tens ~ hundreds of times is instantly
flown in when various electric devices of lamp,
etc., are lit to instantly reduce voltage
supplied to alternator or battery. Furthermore,
in automobiles applied with electric and
electronic control circuit to use semiconductor
elements and electric parts of many contact
points, such as relay and electronic parts,
etc., a variety of electronic noises, such as
high-frequency noise and spark noise, are flown
into the power of device to control the vehicle.
This results in instability of engine output
control, therefore leads to increased fuel
consumption in engine and such problems as
pollution and unnecessary fuel consumption due
to incomplete combustion
In fact, the electricity of app. 12V supplied to
ignition device is converted into high-voltage
electricity of 25,000V or higher as it passes
through ignition coil. This implies that the
initially supplied voltage is increased by more
than 2000 times. Even a difference in voltage
supply by 0.1V due to instable voltage results
in the difference by more than 200V when voltage
is supplied to ignition plug. This causes
incomplete combustion, therefore decrease in
output and increased discharge of exhaust gas.

To
handle such voltage fluctuation, automobiles are
installed with voltage regulator to stabilize
voltage.
However, voltage regulator works only when
current value is large in alternator, etc. Also,
with noise of extremely short wavelength,
voltage regulator cannot appropriately respond
to flow-induced noise by numerous invisible
electromagnetic waves generated due to using of
electronic devices or pulse noise generated when
turning on or off electronic devices. Voltage
regulator is used to produce stabilized voltage
that is lower than the input voltage by
controlling input voltage that is higher than
the output. Therefore, voltage regulator cannot
appropriate handle instant occurrence of rapidly
low voltage
